lately i see a upward trend in essays, tweets (if we are still calling it) using lowercase. this got me thinking—why reject something that’s been around forever. initially my judgemental side kicked in and thought people might be following the trend and i would not do it, until recently when i started working on putting together pieces for this space, i figured worrying about casing and grammar actually disrupts my flow of thinking and writing. on the other side i want this to be my digital space where i don’t have to be social, formal, worry about how this would looks and rather keep it informal. doing this liberates me of feeling that i have to be right and gives permission to be wrong, messy and honest. for now i’ll keep everything as it flows naturally (maybe with a dash of uniformity for other parts of this space) and see how it works out.
